Club Founded by a group of College students(two of which are still
playing in 2006. Early cricket played from July to September on
Sundays only

1971-1974 |
Most games played away from home on Sundays and in Midweek.
Home fixtures were played at Buttrill's Field or Pencoedtre Park

1975-1976 |
1st permanent home base at Barry Boys' Comprehensive School.
The club now playing some Saturday "Friendly" cricket, this was the
start of first strong period in the club's history. However, two hot
summers destroy the square and the Wanderers are wandering again!

1976-1980 |
As a result of having no permanent home, many players leave the club. This results in a period of struggle for the Club. At the end of the 1980 season, the Wanderers had only 18 playing members left.

1980-1982 |
A return to Barry Boys' School sees an influx of new young players. |
1983-1985 |
Work begins on a permanent home at Sully Hospital during October 1983, with the opening game played in the first week of May 1985. In 1984 a Second XI was also formed, playing most of it's fixtures on a Sunday.

1985 |
The club enter the Welsh Cup for the first time. |
1985-1990 |
This time would the second "Period of Strength" in the Club's history. The Wanderers become the leading "Non League" club in South Wales often raising 2 Saturday XI's, 3 XI's on Sunday's and 2 Midweek XI's. Touring sides came from all over Britain to visit Sully Hospital, along with a touring side from New Zealand.

1994 |
Clubhouse lost to work of arsonists. Club members raise £30,000 with help of a grant from the "Foundation of Sports & Arts" to help build a new clubhouse.

1996 |
New Clubhouse opened officially by Walsall Health Authority Cricket Club

1995/96 |
25th Anniversary of the club. This was celebrated with a week of cricket and a match vs Cross Arrows at Lords

2000 |
Barry Wanderers move into the new Millennium as League Cricketers in the Welsh Conference. The club wins promotion on two occasions.

2006 |
The Club has over 50 playing member and continue with their annual tour and presentation dinner

The Midweek Team gain promotion to the VOG Midweek League First Division, while ending up as a runner up in the VOG Midweek Cup. The Second XI were also promoted, gaining promotion to Second Division of the East Wales Conference. |
