Barry Wanderers stalwarts, Tony Swannick and Larry Lawrence, who announced their retirement from cricket prior to the 2008 season, have been awarded honorary memberships by the club given their service to the club. Tony, during his time at the club, has fulfilled every role at the Club. Tony played for the Club for 17 years, joining in 1990 through his son Paul Swannick. The highlight of Tony's career came when he was Club Captain, and captained the Club at Lord's for their fixture against Cross Arrows. During his time with the club he scored 8409 runs, taking 242 wickets, 118 catches in 537 matches. It must not be forgotten the work Tony put in as our Club Groundsman for a decade. Larry also joined in 1990, and in that time played 173 games, scoring 1708 runs, taking 137 wickets and 13 catches.
