Barry Wanderers have secured their biggest match since their 25th anniversary celebration game. In 1996, the Wanderers invaded the Nursery Ground at the world famous Lord's Cricket Ground. It was a great day for the club, and now the Wanderers have another game to rival that of 1996. The umpire from that, Mr Charlie Puckett, has invited the club to play at Windsor Great Park to play against the Royal Cavalry. The game will be played on Sunday the 7th of July, and the club will be laying on a coach, but haven't decided whether to go down after the league match on Saturday, or first thing on Sunday morning. The fixture will be a 1st XI fixture, giving some of the Wanderers players the chance to test themselves at a higher standard. Therefore, make sure you have noted the 7th of July in your diary, and have taken the 8th of July off work! s
